blake's cousin, thomas, who is from england, married an irish girl here.
all i can say is that it was absolutely breathtaking...
the weather was perfect.
the village was cozy.
the food was great.
the people were fun & by the way LOVED us americans.
and especially the bride and groom who were so obviously happy and in love!
this pic is right before the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.
it was at an irish pub ten minutes away.
lots of food and drinks.
behind us you can see our cottage.
next door to us were the rest of the cottages where other family & guest stayed- so lovely & quaint.
and not a minute away was the actual spot where the wedding was held, the reception and breakfast each morning.
it was so nice & convenient having everything we needed right there.
coolbawn quay is located on a lake.
this is one of the views from where the reception was held.
i was in all black feeling a little left out.
me, jess & linds also forgot to bring out hats for the wedding.
shoot.
she is the wife of robbie's (blake's father) cousin who lives in england.
she had her entire outfit made for her for this wedding.
she had her entire outfit made for her for this wedding.
she really did look absolutely beautiful.
so hollywood those two.
even more hollywood.
there were cocktails and horderves passed for a couple hours outside around the dock area.
then a seated dinner.
then an hour of speeches.
then cake.
then three hours of irish dancing- you know in groups switching partners all over the place.
that ended at midnight.
then the party started.
the disco band showed up & stayed through the morning.
they sure know how to party.
the dallasites hit the sack around one am...still jet lagged.
oh well..it was such a blast. definitely a wedding that will always be remembered!
