bordeaux/blaye

the last four days were spent driving the roads of france for business.
for those of you who don't know- blake imports architectural elements back to the states for business.
so our goal was to stop at reclamation sites that blake had mapped out before hand.
at this point, it was only lindsey, jeremy, me & blake.
we started in bordeaux & made our way to paris.
(yay.. back on the right side of the road!)
our first night we stayed in a french chateau overlooking all the vineyards.
it was beautiful!

we were even given a tour of their vineyard & the winemaking process.

daughter of the chateau owner.
such a cutie.

the next evening we stayed at au clos de beaulieu.
blake & craig had stayed their in march & loved it.
you rent out one of maybe four rooms they have.
the owners also live on the property.
they made us a seven course meal that was unbelievable!
the dogs name was dookie.
they also had a nine year old son.
he liked to find frogs and put them on me and linds while eating dinner.
NOT a fan.
blake & jeremy petting the horses in the back of the clos.

one of our stops the next day was at an old man's house who sold antique fireplaces.
after showing us the fireplaces- he opened another garage & had tons of antique bikes, motorcycles, carriages & cars.
they were fascinating!!
he made us try them all out...even the cars!
we were shocked they all still worked.

next up...paris!
