BP anyone?

i have been a member of gold's gym now since february 2008, right after blake and i moved back to dallas from savannah. i truly do enjoying working out however i tend to be the one who goes through phases...i work out really hard for two weeks and then take off three. since becoming a member, i started a class called body pump that i attempt to do 2-3 times per week. it is an hour long class that plays 10 different songs (all which i typically sing along to), each song working a different muscle group. the work out order is as follows: warm up, squats, chest, back, triceps, biceps, lunges, shoulders, abs & cool down. i have never been a weight lifter or a class girl, always a cardio-eliptical-runner girl- however, i have to admit that i have SOOO much enjoyed this class. it keeps me coming back week after week & i am constantly trying to get friends to come with me so they can experience BP. more importantly, i have definitely noticed my increase in strenth (i can actually do multiple pushups!) and the amount of weight i lift in every muscle group has also increased over the year. i highly recommend any of you who are on the verge of joining a gym or are simply looking to mix up your work out, to check out BP...you will be addicted in no time!

my other absolute favorite thing about gold's gym is the cardio cinema. they have an entire separate room (lights off) with treadmills, elipticals & bikes with a HUGE screen playing a movie. at first it seems odd to be working out in the dark but before you know it, it has been a hour of elipital or treadmill, the movie is half over & you feel like you just started.

CHEERS to gold's for helping me stay in shape!
