samantha + travis: ring

samantha sampson asked me to take a few photos of her engagement ring a few days ago.
she wanted to be able to show all her out-of-town family & friends her BEAUTIFUL ring.
she was propsed to underneather the fireworks on july 4th.

so happy

good news.

the vet called us yesterday.
she received the results for buddy's bumps we had removed last week.

they are NOT cancer!!!
buddy is cancer FREE!

we are SO SO happy.
she was 90% sure it was cancer based on what she saw/studied/sent off.
so were the other vets.

but God is good & buddy is a healthy, recovering lil pup!

britt turns one

last saturday i photographed baby britt's first birthday party.
it was yellow ducky themed & was absolutely adorable!

introducing the baby bump series

so i have begun a new maternity photograph series beginning with BABY DURRETT.
my sister in law, lindsey, is 18 weeks pregnant.
i have decided to photograph her weekly throughout her pregnancy.
each photograph will show a couple shots of her plus writing from her husband of what they experienced during that week.
i think it will be such a great way for her to remember her first pregnancy & to especially remember the good AND bad details that are so easily forgotten.
plus how neat for her baby girl to be able to see what her mommy went through!

i hope you enjoy this series.. i think it will be so special!

more 4th of july fun

i hope everyone had a happy fourth...i certainly did.
we spent the weekend out at the lakehouse.
it was so nice to sit back, relax & catch some rays.
we had the carrekers out- chris, lindsay & baby cohen.
my good friend eriza, who i worked with at the dallas cowboys, came out saturday as well.
the spences & darleys stopped by saturday evening for a quick visit before the fireworks.

i did have a 1 year old birthday party back in dallas to photograph on saturday.

he had a busy weekend.

*i think i already mentioned this but in case you are wondering, buddy had two bumps removed from his left shoulder last week that had just developed.

he seems to think nothing is wrong with him...hopefully he's right!

we will find out today or tomorrow if it was an infection from a scab he had when we rescued him a month ago or if it's cancer.

keep buddy in your prayers please!

flying high

well the 'airchair' ended up not being as bad as i thought.. blake LOVED it.
he can't wait to get back on it next weekend.

blake & jeremy were the only ones that had the nerves to try it out this weekend.
i am still warming up to this thing...give me another couple weeks & just maybe i will give it a go.

here is the most recent lakehouse purchase thanks to blake.

it is being delivered this weekend to the lake where we will be spending the 4th of july.

i am a little hesitant to use this thing.

not sure why.

maybe it's because you are SITTING down, STRAPPED by the waist, on this odd contraption being pulled FAST behind a boat.

oh man.

i will be sure to let you all know how it goes with the new toy,

how many faceplants we have & whether it was a wise purchase or not. ;o)
